Poverty and ethnicity in the UK

A wide-ranging review of the literature relating to poverty and ethnicity has identified the stark differences in rates of poverty according to ethnic group. This report brings together all the available evidence on different aspects of poverty and examines what has and has not been studied in relation to its causes. Based on the premise that inequalities and highly different risks of poverty are a concern for society, the report explores the economic inequalities and deprivation suffered by certain ethnic groups relative to others in the UK today. It provides implications not only for policy, but also highlights gaps in research and the consequent implications for a future research agenda. Report
