Charley Webb, journalist and mother, has spent years building an emotional wall against critics, snooty neighbours and her disapproving family. When she receives a letter from Jill Rohmer, a woman serving time on death row for the murders of three children, her wall begins to crumble. Jill wants Charley to write her biography to share the many hidden truths about the case. When Charley delves into Jill's background, she starts receiving anonymous letters threatening to harm her children.
