This is the first publication of author Diana Hetrick Wayand and it expresses her experiences in loss, grief and love of family.



In her lighter poems the author shows a more playful side of her personality as in Dear One or Passion.
She stands in awe of our heroes and pays homage in these poems to those that are called upon to lead or make sacrifices.



Wayand is an independent scholar of the life and poetry of Emily Dickinson and says she often feels Dickinson's presence when writing; a presence she welcomes.
This collection of poems shows the deeply felt emotions of the author and she shares her passions with the readers.
