My Aunt Came Back from Louisiane

Using a traditional song that she has artfully adapted, Johnette Downing has created a whimsically rhyming picture book. The story tells of various Louisiana fare such as red beans, filï"1/2 gumbo, baguettes and beignets, and crawfish stew. Children are also introduced to the Cajun accordion, which came to Louisiana from Germany and is an important part of Cajun music. Readers are encouraged to participate as active observers as they tour the towns and explore the traditions of the Pelican State.
