This is a fascinating, hopeful new book that demonstrates how may childhood disorders can be treated successfully without pharmaceuticals. This is very good news indeed. Neurofeedback is effective 80 percent of the time; there are none of the side-effects associated with drugs commonly used to treat various childhood ailments; and it is a non invasive treatment that is easy, efficient, and cost effective. This book examines each disorder separately, explaining in lay terms the manifestations of the disorder, the diagnosis, and the rationale for treating the disorder with brainwave training. The authors clearly demonstrate how neurofeedback helps the brain to reorder and balance itself, thereby restoring normal function and alleviating, if not curing, various ailments.
