The Pillowcase is a novel which deals with complex issues associated with loss, personal unhappiness and the pursuit of seeking an answer to a defining issue. The central character is haunted by an incident whilst working within Military intelligence in Northern Ireland and how his past collided with his present. Distressing and psychologically challenging, this is a story which demonstrates that not all endings are happy.
