Caroline Bretherton has worked in the food industry on both sides of the Atlantic for over 20 years. Her enthusiasm and skills led her to start her own catering company, and later a caf"before going on to work consistently in television and the print media. She is the author of five cookery books, including DK's The Allotment Cookbook Through the Year and Family Kitchen Cookbook. She lives in North Carolina with her family, from where she continues to write about all things food-related.
