WENDY COOLING was educated in Norwich. After travelling, she became a teacher which she later left to work as Head of the Children's Book Foundation. She is now a freelance book consultant and reviewer. Among the authors included in this anthologyare Philippa Pearce, Rudyard Kipling, Anita Hewitt, John Agard and Francesca Simon.
