Adam and Sarah are struggling to survive in post-Chaos England where Adam has become a folk hero. Pursued by three armed men, Adam, Sarah and Mia are tricked into going with the men to an underground military city where they are interrogated. Another number-seer has recognised Mia's number is different - and they learn she is a number-snatcher. Not only could Mia be the key to immortality, but her gift could also defeat death another way - by bringing people back from the dead.
