I Really Didn't Think This Through: Tales from My So-Called Adult Life

Maybe you’re looking at this in a bookstore and wondering if you’re inconveniencing everyone by standing in the aisle and reading. Or maybe you’re looking at this in the comfort of your own home, free from the stressors that come with the horrors of venturing outside.

Either way, you might be a little bit like me. You’re kind of nervous around people, anxiety seems to be on speed dial, and you’re handling adulthood with all the grace of a bull in a china shop.

Hey, it’s okay. A lot of us feel this way. I might not have all the answers on how to become a confident adult who definitely does not cry in the bathroom at parties, but I have learned some things along the way that might make the process less hellish. Also, I have some embarrassing stories to share, which provide that weird “well, at least I didn’t do THAT” feeling of satisfaction.
