The records presented here were copied by the WPA from tombstones in three cemeteries in Abbeville County, South Carolina: Melrose Cemetery, Episcopal Churchyard, and Long Canes Cemetery. While the majority of transcriptions give only the name of the decedent and his dates of birth and death, a number of them also refer to kinsmen or provide additional biographical information.
