Crop Top is not just another diet book - it is an anti-diet book. Written by a lawyer and a clinical dietitian, the authors provide both mothers and daughters with a new, innovative way of looking at ideas about food, such as weight, diets and self-image, which deeply affect so many girls and women today.
The aim of the book is to change society's image of the ideal female body, a change which must begin within the family. Offering practical tools and emotional support, Crop Top presents information on healthy meal preparation and balanced eating, loving yourself as you are, developing positive behavioral patterns, helping young people to create a realistic, balanced body image, creating a friendly domestic environment and conducting supportive, constructive dialogue.
Crop Top was co-authored by Einat Lev-Ari and Smadar Weinberg. Einat is a clinical dietitian and mother of two daughters. She holds an MA from Haifa University's Faculty of Public Health, on the subjects of nutrition and eating disorders in teenagers. Regarded as an expert in the treatment of eating disorders, Einat lectures widely and acts as a group advisor in nutritional matters. Smadar, a mother of five, is a mediator and attorney at law, and also a successful workshop leader and life coach.
