    Description

Detective Rodriguez office is violently assaulted. All his files are gone, but thanks to the backups see three open cases may have led to the robbery: the disappearance of a colonel of the Army Staff in 1956; the search for a mysterious woman who maintained a close relationship with English brigade back in the Spanish civil war; and the abduction of a German girl by a prostitution ring. It seems that someone wants to prevent the resolution of some of these cases. Rodriguez delves back in time and, with the reader, discovers the greatness and misery of a people caught in tragic moments of the recent history of Spain, with the moving background of the children sent to the Soviet Union in 1937. In this fast paced thriller, Joaquin M. Barrero once again demonstrates his ability to trap from the first page and to thrill to the experience of characters and landscapes beautifully defined.
