A Parisian woman receives a strange letter in what a Russian specialist asks her to join him at a coffee parlor in the city. He wants to talk about a diary that tells the story of her family. The woman is unaware of the fact for which her family had to emigrate from Russia and all about the character that requested the encounter seems strange. Finally she agrees to meet with him and he gives her The book of destinations or what has been a kind of logbook of the history of the family during the Russian Revolution.
