Since it fell into disfavor in the wake of the scandal of the Mitterrand government eavesdropping, Laurent Grenadier lives in exile in Manama, capital of the Emirate of the Two Seas. There, he's in charge of training the personal guard of the crown prince, a position that allows him to unleash his three great passions: alcohol, violence and women. But his luck begins to twist when he accepts to investigate the disappearance of Yasmina, a 16-year-old Shiite girl. This case coincides with a visit to the Gulf of two French parliamentarians in need of a favor not to miss the juicy commission derived from the sale of a frigate of war to Saudi Arabia. Slowly, Grenadier is brought into the heart of a storm in which policy is in hand with murder and terrorism. This conspiracy could cost him not only the favor for those who protect him, but his own life.
