Luto Riguroso (BYBLOS)

Inspector William Monk has his hands full when an aristocrat's daughter is stabbed to death in her own bed. He is instructed to proceed with investigations immediately, but finds his efforts thwarted by his own lingering traces of amnesia from a recent accident and the craven ineptitude of his supervisor, who seems determined to watch Monk fail. With the help of Hester Latterly, formerly a nurse with Florence Nightingale, Monk gropes warily through silence and shadows, knowing that with each step he comes closer to an appalling truth.
