La parte soñada es el segundo volumen de la trilogía en la que Rodrigo Fresán investiga el mecanismo y los engranajes que hacen funcionar la mente de un escritor.

La parte soñada busca respuestas a esta pregunta explorando las visiones vigilantes de alguien cansado de perseguir la interpretación de su vida sonámbula y de esperar a que su obra en trance recupere el sentido. O tal vez sigue el tránsito de alguien con demasiada energía para reinterpretarlas y reescribirlas a su manera mientras cuenta mucho, mucho más que ovejas.

Una misteriosa fundación que se dedica a la preservación de los cada vez más escasos y valiosos sueños, una terrorista psycho-lírico-fotofóbica, una canción de cuna eléctrica y mercurial, tres hermanas lunáticas (y un hermano eclipsado) escribiendo desde el lado oscuro de las más profundas y borrascosas cumbres del espacio, una reclusa alucinada y una familia alucinante, un genio adicto a las mariposas y un agente del FBI adicto a ese genio, un tío ácido y lisérgico y unos padres modelos pero nada modélicos, una revolucionaria puesta en escena de Shakespeare para hijos de guerrilleros-chic, una ciudad de librerías insomnes, y un escritor que tal vez sea centenario. O no.

Ese escritor que ya no escribe ni duerme y que intenta recuperar la trama de una noche de su infancia. Esa noche en la que abrió los ojos para siempre, para ya nunca cerrarlos, para no dejar de soñar con esa noche y para, tal vez, despertarse y por fin descansar en paz.

How does a writer dream?

The Dreamed Partis the second volume of Rodrigo Fresan's trilogy in which he investigates the mechanism and gears that make a writer's mind work.

The Dreamed Part seeks answers to this unknown by exploring the visions of someone tired of pursuing the meaning of their zombie life and waiting for their trance to gain some type of meaning.

A mysterious foundation dedicated to preserving rare and valuable dreams; a psycho-lyrical-photophobic terrorist; an electric and mercurial lullaby; three lunatic sisters (and an eclipsed brother) who write from the darkest side of the most wuthering lunar heights; a hallucinating prisoner and a hallucinatory family; a genius addicted to butterflies and an FBI agent addicted to that genius; a looney and lysergic uncle and parents who model but are not model parents; a revolutionary staging of Shakespeare for the children of chic guerrillas; a city of sleepless bookshops; and a writer who might be 100 years old. Or not.

That writer can no longer write or sleep and tries to recover the plot of a childhood night. That night in which he opened his eyes forever, never to close them again, and perhaps to wake up and finally rest in peace.
