Social, Emotional and Behavioural Development: The Journey into an Educational Setting

Understanding social, emotional and behavioural development is the foundation for creating a successful learning environment in educational settings. In order to teach and offer differentiated learning, the teacher needs to consider ages and stages of emotional and behaviour development, thus understanding how children learn and why they behave the way they do.
