Heinz Mack: Ausst. Kat. Kunstpalast Düsseldorf 2021

The catalogue is being published to accompany the exhibition Heinz Mack, which is taking place at the Kunstpalast Düsseldorf and is primarily dedicated to the first decades of Heinz Mack's work from the 1950s to the 1970s. With his conquest of landscape space and provocative form experiments, Heinz Mack (*1931) paved the way for a new understanding of art in the 1960s. The exhibition traces the central stages of his career. A diverse overview of his oeuvre is presented, which includes light kinetic installations as well as architectural projects, film and stage design. Legendary Land Art projects take us into the North African desert and the Arctic polar sea. The catalogue includes more than 190 illustrations and 7 texts from different scientific fields, as well as a comprehensive interview with Heinz Mack.
