Born in 1965 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, Carsten Nicolai has become one of the most famous margin walkers of Electronic Music and Art. In his career, he performed and created installations and had solo shows in some of the worlds most prestigious spaces, including the Guggenheim NYC, MOMA SF, MOMA Oxford, and NTT Tokyo. He also runs the exceptional label, Raster Noton, responsible for the acclaimed CD series "20 to 2000" that went on to win the Prix Ars Electronica 2000 of the globe's leading electronic art festival.
