Die andere deutsche Erinnerung: Tendenzen literarischen und kulturellen Lernens (Deutschsprachige Gegenwartsliteratur und Medien)

Twenty-five years after reunification, the literary, theatrical, aesthetic and cinematic culture of remembrance of East German socialism is as diverse as it is award-worthy. In the context of education, however, remembrance of this era is associated less and less with communicative memory; if at all, moreover, the focus is mostly on literature and media from the era of the GDR. This volume gauges current didactic perspectives on remembrance of East Germany in music, drama, literary aesthetics, literarature and film after 1990, highlighting the contrast between strong factual memories and general narrative interpretations of official remembrance.
