I.M. Pei : la pyramide du Louvre = the Louvre pyramid

Dès sa première annonce, en 1984, le projet d'I. M. Pei de l'édification d'une pyramide de verre dans la cour du Louvre fut considéré comme surprenant. Vingt ans après son inauguration, la pyramide est devenue un symbole du musée du Louvre et même de Paris : plus de huit millions de visiteurs en franchissent les portes chaque année. Ce livre, préfacé par I. M. Pei, retrace les origines du projet et présente sa réalisation illustrée d'un certain nombre de croquis inédits, que l'on doit à l'un des principaux collaborateurs de Pei à l'époque, l'architecte Yann Weymouth.

This book, with a preface by I. M. Pei, retraces the origins of the project and presents its realization with a number of previously unpublished sketches by the lead design architect working with Pei at the time, Yann Weymouth.
