This project adopts a retrospective and longitudinal approach to examine the association between weather patterns and crime rates in northern Brooklyn in
Archival weekly time series is used from the National Weather Service, the New York City Police Department (NYPD), and the Department of Labor in this secondary data analysis. Results are analyzed and a determination made to see whether temperature and precipitation and crime have a statistically significant relationship and whether the relationship is positive or negative.
