In every group of children there are a few who provoke their caretakers more than others with their great need for movement, with aggression or with isolation behaviour. But how can such children be integrated in nursery school routines? And how can one create the means to allow these children to develop properly without being overwhelmed by the task? The author first describes the various syndromes of children with conspicuous aggressive behaviour, ADHD and Asperger, and then the surroundings necessary for fostering such children. She provides concrete and practical solutions for dealing with such behaviour. Such methods help not only the child in question; an active, concept-driven pedagogical approach will also reduce the work stress of the caretakers who can continue to be successful and enjoy their work.
