In this volume, the author introduces 20 tried and tested outlines for meditative evening church services. They are addressed to persons responsible for organising and setting up services in the church. Originally they were prepared for the so-called second program, but through their particular orientation to the church year they can be employed in other situations as well. Although ordered according to the official liturgical schedule, they also incorporate many themes from everyday life while not neglecting the long tradition of Protestant church services. Creative elements and surprising junctures even give some of the outlines a rather experimental touch.Special outlines are also included for Advent, New Year"s, Candlemas, Good Friday, Passiontide and Easter, Cantate or Pentecost as well as the Summer Solstice, Thanksgiving and the end of the Church Year.With this volume Stephan Goldschmidt continues his series of meditative church services begun in the Service of the Word Series, Volume 122.
