Et, d'autre part, je suis de ces poètes qui, pour écrire, ont besoin d'un bon, d'un impérieux prétexte.

There are only eleven poems to show for twelve years of holidays in Brittany (or not even one poem per year), which is perhaps surprising ; but I have never been a fluent poet, and I've always felt the need for an appropriate or compelling pretext for my texts.
