    Bad Angus

    Description

Bad Angus is a big, strange cat who visits the house to have a snack and a nap.

He later frightens off a hungry fox. Angus sees the fox looking at a little robin and is thinking "dinner." Angus saw the fox off. Poor hungry Mr Foxy. The fox also looks at some swans because he's still hungry. But the swans are too big and he's not a very good swimmer.

The fox comes back to the garden and finds a nice snack the children left behind. Mr Foxy decides a tasty snack is much better than trying to catch a bird for dinner. It is now a happy garden with the children, Mr Foxy, and Bad Angus all having fun together.

First-time author Laura Bennett of Edinburgh, Scotland, is a grandmother who lived 35 years in the house where the story is set. Now retired, she fondly remembers her former home and garden immortalized in this children's story. Many creatures came to her garden, though it was situated in central Edinburgh near Queens Park and the Queen's official Scottish home, Holyrood Palace. She wishes to thank Pud and Trish for all their help.
