Since its development in 1982, the wide use of the 'Lima Liturgy' at ecumenical gatherings has stimulated a new awareness of the possibilities -- but also the problems -- of eucharistic worship in ecumenical settings. This book grows out of a meeting which brought together liturgists, theologians, church musicians and pastors from a variety of contexts and traditions to reflect together on the significance and practice of celebrating holy communion ecumenically and to produce new materials for use in such services.
